My grrrr moment of the day

So I do the morning fight with my teenage son. It has made me think of the phrase"Cause I said so!". As a child, that phrase would literally make me cringe. I hated it. I felt that it was a cop-out my parents used because they didn't view me as important enough to get an answer. Now I see the other side. Here's how my school day mornings go:

Me: (at 6:10am being woken up by his alarm going off for the past 10 minutes.) Devyn it is time to get up sweetie!
Him: Why? Can't you just let me sleep for 30 more minutes.
Me: No, if you do that you wont have enough time to do what you need to do and you will miss the bus.

a few minutes later...

Me:  What would you like for breakfast?
Him: (Engrossed in cartoons) Nothing, I'm not hungry! (I call BS this kid is ALWAYS hungry)
Me: Wrong answer. I didn't ask you if you were hungry I asked you what you would like for breakfast. Now turn off the cartoons!
Him: Why

 a few minutes after that...

Me: You are not wearing **enter clothing iten here** (today it was pants). You already wore them TWICE this week and I need to wash it this morning.
Him: Why?

here's where I lost it....

Me: Why is every other word out of your mouth why? WHY can't you just do what you are told, without question?
Him: I dunno!

I swear raising kids is an adventure.
