October Fest Oct. 1-3

October Fest is coming to Toyota Park October 1-3. Toyota Park is located at 7000 S Harlem, Bridgeview IL 60455.

Join us for the 2010 Southside Oktoberfest at Toyota Park 7000 S. Harlem Ave in Bridgeview. The fest runs three days from Friday, October 1 to Sunday, October 3. We will have live music, plenty of food, a carnival for all ages, and what's an Oktoberfest without BEER?

My suggestions to make this a frugal experience. Pack a picnic lunch. This will allow you to avoid spending a small fortune on all that good but oh so fattening Chicago food. Set a budget and stick to it. It is very difficult to go to these events and not spend any money. When I see things I would like outside my budget, I tend to get the vendors card and order from them later. This also allows me extra time to see if I really want that item.  If you are bringing "budget busters" (aka kids) stop at a dollar store before hand and pick up something they will like. Now you have bribery and they wont be so pressed to get something there.
