Do as I say not as I do shopping

So I had to take my teen to the bone dr. Yes we got soaked. Since we were right by the Dominick's I did a little shopping. Here is how it went and how I could have done better!

For emergency lunch purposes I got because we weren't gonna make it to Dev's school in time for lunch
1 Mt Dew throw back $1.00
1 dr pepper $1.69
2 sandwich's $2.49/ea $4.98

Total : $6.67 that I really didn't want to spend

Duncan Hines Caramel apple cake $1.73 (1/2 off impulse buy, it looked soooooo good)

3 Kraft Cheeses $1.67/ea after super coupon in ad
1 velveeta cheese block $6.49 (I got the big one only because I didn't see any of the small ones)
1 Breakstones Sour Cream $2.59 (OMG, should've planned this out better)
2 Wholly Guacamole, Spicy $9.98
2 Wholly Queso (Free with Guac purchase above, but expired didn't realize till I got home, grrr)
2 Hellmans Mayo $1.99/ea with super coupon in ad
1 Tide Stain release $5.99 with super coupon in ad (my new pg e coupon did NOT come off)

I spent $26 and some change
Now IF the $3 would have come off, obviously my total would've be lower. I should have done the kraft stuff (Cheese, velveeta and sour cream) elsewhere or Jewel, at least I could've got a stamp, lol.
If you noticed when the e-coupon did not come off, I ate it. That is my own personal ethics. If I try a deal and it does not work I live with it (it happens rarely, but it does happen). I should've skipped the lunch at Dominicks but my son wasn't going to make it in time to have lunch at school, and I needed to get him back to school ASAP.
Oh yeah, I forgot the mini ryes, lol. Today was definitely one of those days I wished we had a car. Thanks Grandma for coming to our rescue (she got us from Dominicks (87th and Cicero) and took my son to school (111th and Roberts) she saved us and I am soooo grateful.
