Speaking of Rebates

Back around Fathers Day sears ran a promotion. If you buy $50 worth of MENS clothes you could submit for a $50 gift card to be used towards more MENS clothes. Well because my son is growing like a weed I took advantage of this deal.

First I got a $50 gift card for sears from cvs, they had a promotion $10 ECB when you buy a $50 sears gift card.
Then we went to Sears and got 3 pairs of  jeans ($50 does not go super far at sears).
When checkout came I used my Kmart shoppers rewards card (lets you earn cash back on purchases) this gave me $1.00 credit towards my next purcase at sears or kmart.
So When all was said and done I was oop $39.00 and then I got to submit for the rebate.
The rebate came a couple days ago and we just got back from sears where I bought
1 pair south pole jeans
1 button down dress shirt
1 LL cool J (brand) shirt
3 other misc T shirts
and I paid $0.00
no thats not a typo I paid nothing. Tax free shopping took care of the tax and I am not sure why I didnt owe becuase my pre tax total was $55 and the rebate was only for $50. But I will take it. Again I used the shoppers reward card to maximize my savings and earn another $1.00 off my next purchase.

So over $100 worth of clothes from Sears for $38.00 OOP is a great example of maximizing your savings and just in time for back to school
