Well I ordered a really cute t shirt for me and a pair of thong slippers. Well yesterday the package came. My shirt was even cuter in person, but my slipper had magically turned into a pair of valances on the delivery truck. So I called JC Penneys and explained I had ordered slippers and they sent valances. She wanted me to ship it back, credit me for the slippers THEN I could re order the slippers. I told her NO WAY. Why would I go through all that AND pay another shipping charge when the mistake was obviously on their end. Suddenly she decided she could do a special order on my slippers and mail them out without having to charge me again.
Moral of the story: We are the customers. A business is always going to try and take care of their mistake so it benefits them, even if it hurts the customer sometimes. We need to speak up, nicely of course, and let them know it is not ok. Some of you may wonder why I didn't keep the valences (they are very cute) and just report my slippers missing. In a word KARMA. In my opinion keeping those valences would be like stealing. If what you put out in the universe comes back at you threefold, and well the valences just are not worth all of that.
