I had a discussion about this with my Grandma earlier today. She seemed shocked that I didn't. A lot of people in the couponing world encourage the use of binders and bring everything, because you never know what you may find. That is true, however, I don't want to be tempted to buy things that we will never use simply because it is free or cheap. I have a good idea of what I am getting from a store when I go. I may add a couple "Just in case" coupons. If I see something we would use and I know I have a coupon at home, it forces me to make sure that we want to take advantage of it. Most of the time it is not worth it!
Like the CVS water thing this week. I had already done my shopping for the week. Saw the deal at Chi-Town Cheapskate and knew the way we go through water, it would be worth it to head all the way back to CVS today.
I'm with you Jennifer. I prepare my store envelopes ahead of time with the coupons and my list. If I see something that's a really good deal I can decide if it's worth it. I do keep my binder in the car though.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I do the store envelopes too. Glad to see I am not the only one.
